Ravinder Singh is the founder and director of DGN GAS, a heating and gas engineering company in West London that installs and looks after boilers, unvented cylinders, underfloor heating, air conditioning and commercial kitchen gas across London and the surrounding areas. You deal with him directly, from the first call to the free home survey to the handover.
He grew up in the rag trade. His dad ran market stalls and then shops, and from the age of ten he was on the stall at weekends and in the school holidays. University and an IT degree followed, then three years in a corporate IT role, first as a systems administrator and then in service management on a large government contract, and every weekend and holiday he was back at the shop anyway.
A friend who went on to become his mentor talked him into gas engineering. He learned the trade from scratch, shadowing engineers for free, finding his own installation leads and sharing them with the people who were teaching him, and taking every manufacturer course going, and by his own account he made no money for three years and a great many mistakes, which is how he learned the trade and how to run a business. DGN GAS came out of that, and almost a decade on it looks after homes across London, with 240+ five-star Google reviews at a 5.0 average.
DGN GAS is Gas Safe registered for domestic and commercial work (registration 623092), including commercial gas and commercial catering, and holds Vaillant Advance Platinum, Baxi Approved and Worcester Bosch installer status, and is an ATAG Installation Partner. The team is G3 qualified for unvented cylinders and F Gas qualified and REFCOM registered for air conditioning. English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu are spoken, which some customers find makes the conversation easier.
The way the company works follows from all of that. If a boiler can be repaired, it is repaired. A quote is a written quote naming the exact boiler, at a price that does not change. And DGN GAS does not compete on the cheapest price; it competes on quality of service and customer care, which is what the reviews are about.
